DESCRIPTION OF COURSE: District 56 members/officers will learn basic/intermediate components with a hands-on FTH 3.0 demo website. The two-hour training will be delivered in two sections, FTH-1 and FTH-2 (one hour each) with the intent that members will have had an opportunity to practice what they learned in FTH-1 by the time they attend FTH-2. FTH-1 will address basics for all members (main menu and member only menu commands with a focus on meeting agenda and updating member profile). FTH-2 will focus on club officer responsibilities especially that of the webmaster (advertising the club and updating/maintaining the website).
WHAT WILL ATTENDEES LEARN: FTH-1’s main objective is to train members on how to access the Member only Menu; it includes access club meeting agenda, update their profile, mail agenda, create report, quick role sign-up, etc.
LEVEL: Recognize the components of the FTH Home Page
LEARNING OBJECTIVE 1: Practice moving around base camp
LEARNING OBJECTIVE 2: Identify member responsibility on the Member Only menu
LEARNING OBJECTIVE 3: How to use the Club Meeting Agenda icons
ABOUT ZENIA SHIPP: Zenia Shipp, DTM: I joined Toastmasters in January 2014; I’m currently pursuing two paths, Team Collaboration (I’m level 2) and Presentation Master (I’m level 3). I attended my first meeting in hopes of getting quick tips I could use for a keynote speech I was asked to deliver. I became hooked on the process after I recognized that the Toastmaster education program helps with communication at all levels (public, social, job interviews, etc.). I’ve served the district as Area Director (President Distinguish Area P-4), club mentor, and a member of the 2018 Leadership Committee. I’ve served as a club president, secretary, treasurer, sergeant-at-arms and vice president public relations.
ABOUT PADMA LIYANAGE: Padma Liyanage, EC3: I joined Toastmasters in March 2015 to improve my communication skills and leadership skills. I’m continuing my Effective Coaching Path, Level 4. My goal is to become an effective communicator and true leader. I’m a wife, mother, and a software technologist. I have over 25 years experience as a Technical Leader, Manager, Lead, and Developer in the software industry. I’ve served as club president, vice president of public relations, and secretary.
