WHAT WILL ATTENDEES LEARN: FreeToastHost Training overview: This fast-paced training will ensure that participants achieve a basic to moderate level of competency on how to navigate their FreeToastHost website through hands-on step-by-step directions. Attendees will achieve success if he/she has rights to make changes to their respective club’s FTH website as a club officer or web-administrator/webmaster. This training will be beneficial for the following Club Officers: Club President, VPE, VPM, VPPR, Treasurer and Secretary.

Participants will learn how to customize the club’s home page, manage members’ access, create/edit/reconcile weekly agenda, create membership renewal invoice/track payments, use reports to track member’s educational progress, etc.

Agenda:
9 am – 11 pm | Online Leadership Elective (OLE) Sessions

VP PR ROLE/ADMINISTRATOR-WEBMASTER RESPONSIBILITIES (~40 min)

  1. Administer the website (public menu, member menu, social media, etc.)
  2. Manage Officer Rights (general password vs personal password)
  3. Register for FTH support (FTH documentation and a support forum)

VPM RESPONSIBILITIES – Membership Module (~20 min)

  1. Managing member roster
  2. Assigning officer roles
  3. Adding/tracking new members, guests, and former members’ reports

VPE RESPONSIBILITIES (~20 min)

  1. Create/edit/reconcile meeting agenda
  2. Tracking mentors/protégé
  3. Tracking attendance
  4. Reports

TREASURER RESPONSIBILITIES (~15 min)

  1. Creating membership renewal invoice
  2. Tracking payments
  3. Adding PayPal payment button

  1. Signing up for meeting roles (projects and panelists)

A Toastmaster since January 2014, Zenia Shipp, DTM, has received numerous educational awards in the Legacy and Pathways educational programs. She received her Distinguished Toastmaster award in July 2018. She has served District 56 as an Area Director, Club Officer trainer, Club Sponsor, Club Mentor, Silent Auction Co-Chair, and is the current New Club Resource Research Chair.

She has also been a club officer in Pearland Toastmasters, Young Professionals SE Toastmasters Club, Master Evaluators, and Dining Out Toastmasters. She lead Area P4 to President’s Distinguished in 2017 and is the recipient of the VP Public Relations of the Year in 2020.

Zenia partnered with Padma Liyanage to deliver FreeToastHost training for D56 in 2018 and is still actively providing hands-on FTH for club officers, to develop or enhance their club’s FreeToastHost platform.
