Speakers Bureau: The mission of Toastmasters International is to empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. The mission of the District is to build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence.

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Toastmasters International aims to become the first-choice provider of dynamic, high-value, experiential communication and leadership skills development.

Every Toastmaster has developed or is in the process of developing communication and leadership skills. Most of the experience members have achieved has been primarily through clubs, contests, special events, and occasional invitations to speak at non-Toastmasters functions. The Speakers Bureau of District 56 has been established to expand speaking opportunities to qualified members.

Within District 56, there is a need for speakers at demo meetings, test speakers for evaluation contests, speakers at TLIs, speakers at special functions, speech contest judges, parade announcers, banquet Toastmasters, and masters of ceremonies. The Speakers Bureau intends to expand speaking services to Toastmasters clubs, local schools, youth groups, chambers of commerce, PTA, churches, businesses, academic, social, civic (Lions, Kiwanis, and Rotary), community, and professional organizations. The Toastmasters-Rotary Alliance has solidified the need for a list of speakers, when requested, from Rotary clubs.

MISSION: The mission of the Speakers Bureau is to connect all speakers with speaking engagements that add value to the communities of District 56, to promote Toastmasters, and to advance the speaker’s career.

SPEAKERS: All members must be paid District 56 Toastmasters in an active (good standing) club and have completed a minimum of levels one and two in Pathways. District 56 member applicants will be considered based on their area of interest and unique expertise. All District 56 Toastmasters are encouraged to apply to serve our district and community.

STANDARDS FOR PARTICIPATION:

1. 1. Completed Levels 1 and 2 in a Path

1. 1. Submitted District 56 Speakers Bureau Application Form.

1. 1. Submitted a current professional headshot.

1. 1. Submitted a current videotaped speech

1. 1. An expert on a particular topic.
