Mariela Rovira is a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and member of the Pensadores Northwest Toastmaster Club in Houston. She joined Toastmasters over six years ago and has occupied many leadership roles in the club. Besides the many friendships she has developed over the years, what Mariela enjoys about Toastmasters is how it has helped her grow professionally and personally. She recommends taking a chance and joining a club to develop one’s communication and leadership skills. Mariela was born and raised in Panama and holds a DDS degree from the University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico. She is married and has two grown children.
