DESCRIPTION OF COURSE: This course is designed for new (and current) members who enjoy having a plan/deadline to complete tasks. Participants will learn how to navigate the District-56 website to find Pathway tools and resources available. The course will delve into the requirements for each path and how to set deadline for path completion using the Pathways Tracking chart. Participants will end the course with a document that has deadlines for level completion in their chosen path.
WHAT WILL ATTENDEES LEARN: Attendees will learn how to use the Pathways Tracking Chart to plan their successful completion of all educational and leadership requirements to achieve DTM designation.
LEVEL: Beginners are target; however, all can attend.
Learning Objective 1: Explain how the Pathways educational program is designed to ensure communication and leadership skills success
Learning Objective 2: Understand how the paths are grouped (with regard to leadership skills)
Learning Objective 3: Draft a personalized TM journey to DTM with target completion dates
ABOUT Zenia Ship, DTM: Club President, Club SAA, Club VP PR, Club Secretary, Area Director, TLI presenter, COT co-Chair and DCP Chair are a few of Zenia’s Toastmasters accomplishments. Zenia achieved DTM in 2017 and is committed to ensuring new members have the tools they need to be successful in their Toastmasters’ journey.

DESCRIPTION OF COURSE: It’s no secret that evaluations are important to Toastmasters Clubs, but mastering the evaluator role can be daunting. Grow as a speaker, leader, listener, and influencer by learning to provide Effective Evaluations.
WHAT WILL ATTENDEES LEARN: Attendees will learn to hone listening skills, take effective notes, and deliver evaluations that encourage growth.
LEVEL: For all.
Learning Objective 1: Learn effective note taking while actively listening
Learning Objective 2: Explore a variety of evaluation frameworks
Learning Objective 3: Learn evaluation techniques that inspire members and guest alike
ABOUT Alison Nissen, IP5: Alison Nissen is currently working toward her Distinguished Toastmaster Award with her High Performance Leadership Project “Effective Evaluations—Secret to Success” and accompanying workbook. She joined a Florida Toastmasters club in 2017 and is currently a member of both Talking Bull Toastmasters and Speak Up Houston where she serves as club president. She is also the Q52 Area Director for District 56, a Triple Crown recipient, and a Competent Communicator and Competent Leader. When not focused on Toastmasters, Alison is the co-founder and president of Revel Coach, the author of the 2016 RPLA Unpublished Memoir of the Year and is the Streaming Media Chair and Board Member of the Florida Writers Association.
