Luisa Montalvo
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Luisa Montalvo was born and raised in South Texas. She worked at Abbott Laboratories for 25 years before retiring at the age of 53. Luisa joined Toastmasters International in 1989 and then rejoined in 2013. She placed 2nd in the International Contest in 2019, and in 2024, she became Toastmasters World Champion of Public Speaking and is the first Hispanic to achieve this honor. As a Retiree, Luisa loves rescuing and transporting homeless dogs across the U.S., and has fostered over 1,000 dogs. She finds joy in saving animals, inspiring others through her speeches, and making friends along the way. Her mission is to make her mother proud.
